Background
Their teams were already experienced in running workloads on AWS in a smaller scale. So when when Lynx decided to expand their cloud operation, they asked us at Buzzcloud to help design and implement a strategy for deploying and securing their new multi account structure as well as the AWS services the teams would be using. Buzzcloud also acted as advisors in our capacity as AWS Specialists on which services to use and how in order to help their teams hit the ground running in their new cloud based environments.
Solution
Lynx had previously settled on using AWS Control tower to handle set up, coordinated security and management of their accounts, we at Buzzcloud helped them set up an account structure according to AWS best practice that aligned with Lynx existing strategy and security practices and assisted with an in depth advisory on AWS Guard duty and other services used in conjunction with AWS control tower to enable protections and enforce practices.
Result
Further we set up the desired connectivity within and between their multiple accounts and helped them set up a basic development platform of services to kickstart work among the teams.
Much of this work consisted in writing cloud formation templates describing various infrastructural resources as code and deploying them using the AWS cloud formation service.
